An opportunity is available for a Consumer Communications Writer to join a dynamic marketing team in a mid-to-senior level capacity. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing compelling, brand-aligned content across a variety of consumer touchpoints, including marketing campaigns, digital channels, CRM communications, blogs, and brand storytelling initiatives.

Core Responsibilities
Content Creation & Copywriting
- Produce high-quality, engaging, and brand-aligned content across multiple marketing channels, including social media (organic and paid), websites, landing pages, email campaigns, CRM communications, blogs, and other digital platforms.
- Develop compelling campaign messaging, brand stories, and consumer-focused content that reflects the organization’s values and objectives.
- Create platform-specific content tailored to audience preferences and channel best practices.
- Adapt writing style and messaging for various formats while ensuring consistency with the established brand voice.
- Craft impactful storytelling content that effectively communicates the organization’s purpose, conservation initiatives, and brand mission.
Campaign Development & Consumer Communications
- Collaborate with marketing, creative, and brand teams to develop engaging campaign concepts and messaging strategies.
- Translate creative briefs into clear messaging frameworks, compelling headlines, persuasive calls-to-action, and structured communication plans.
- Produce content across multiple formats, including long-form articles, website copy, social media captions, email campaigns, and short-form video scripts.
- Ensure all campaign communications align with brand positioning, tone of voice, and broader business objectives.
- Simplify complex topics, including conservation, sustainability, and environmental initiatives, into engaging and accessible content for diverse audiences.
Brand Voice & Editorial Excellence
- Maintain and protect the integrity of the organization’s brand voice, tone, and editorial standards across all communications.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of editorial guidelines, messaging frameworks, and content standards.
- Review, edit, and refine written materials to ensure consistency, clarity, accuracy, and high editorial quality.
- Balance creativity with concise, audience-focused messaging that delivers maximum impact.
Content Performance & Optimization
- Develop content designed to maximize audience engagement, customer acquisition, conversion, and retention.
- Work closely with performance marketing and channel specialists to test messaging variations and optimize campaign effectiveness.
- Monitor content performance, analyze campaign insights, and implement improvements based on data-driven findings.
- Apply SEO, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and social media content best practices to improve visibility and campaign performance.
Research & Story Development
- Conduct comprehensive research into the organization’s camps, ecosystems, wildlife, conservation initiatives, and local communities to support authentic storytelling.
- Identify and develop emotionally engaging stories based on genuine experiences, with a strong emphasis on conservation, community impact, and human-interest narratives.
- Stay informed of emerging industry trends, seasonal developments, conservation initiatives, and regional events to uncover new storytelling opportunities.
- Undertake field visits to gather first-hand content and develop an in-depth understanding of each destination’s unique experiences, environmental significance, and conservation efforts.
- Transform field observations into compelling narratives that showcase the people, places, and purpose behind each location.
- Exercise sound editorial judgement to ensure all content reflects the organization’s luxury brand positioning while reinforcing its conservation mission.
- Conduct interviews with guides, camp staff, conservation experts, and other stakeholders to capture authentic insights and translate them into engaging content.
- Prepare thoroughly for interviews while remaining adaptable to identify spontaneous and meaningful storytelling opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with operational teams to uncover unique stories, valuable insights, and authentic content opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with designers, videographers, and creative teams to deliver integrated, multimedia storytelling experiences.
- Collaborate with product and marketing teams to ensure messaging accurately reflects products, services, and customer offerings.
- Work alongside CRM specialists to develop targeted communications tailored to key consumer segments.
- Support both organic and paid social media teams by creating platform-specific content aligned with audience behaviors and campaign objectives.
- Coordinate with regional and channel leaders to tailor messaging for different markets and customer groups.
- Collaborate with the direct sales team to incorporate customer insights, market feedback, and sales intelligence into content strategies.
Content Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to enhance content quality, effectiveness, and audience engagement across all marketing channels.
- Contribute innovative ideas for new content formats, storytelling techniques, campaigns, and editorial initiatives.
- Stay informed of evolving consumer behaviors, digital marketing trends, emerging platforms, and industry best practices to ensure content remains fresh, relevant, and competitive.
Skills & Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline.
Experience
- Minimum of 5–8 years of professional experience in copywriting, content development, editorial, or communications roles.
- Demonstrated experience producing high-quality content for consumer-facing brands.
- Proven portfolio showcasing expertise in integrated marketing campaigns, digital and social media content, and versatile copywriting across multiple content formats.
- Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling abilities with a strong command of the English language.
- Solid understanding of social-first and mobile-first content strategies, including audience engagement best practices.
- Ability to develop compelling brand narratives while supporting performance-driven marketing objectives.
- Experience creating and managing content across multiple communication channels, including websites, print media, social media, CRM platforms, email marketing, and digital campaigns.
Technical Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of luxury consumer behavior, customer psychology, and emerging market trends.
- Excellent research, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
