Skills & Requirements
- Demonstrated experience developing applications with Node.js, supported by a strong interest in peer-to-peer (P2P) technologies and a practical, solution-focused approach to software development.
- Solid understanding of Kademlia Distributed Hash Table (DHT) concepts and decentralized networking principles.
- Knowledge of distributed indexing techniques and related technologies, including skip graphs, prefix hash trees, m-LIGHT, and locality-sensitive hashing (LSH).
- Experience working with distributed databases, Conflict-free Replicated Data Types (CRDTs), and decentralized data management.
- Strong understanding of peer-to-peer networking concepts, including TCP/IP, transport-layer communication, connection reliability models, multiplexing, NAT traversal, and network encryption.
- Familiarity with information retrieval (IR) principles and modern search engine architecture, including ranking algorithms, recall versus precision, lexical and semantic search, and inverted indexing.
- Ability to test, evaluate, optimize, and troubleshoot network protocols to improve performance and reliability.
- Proven experience writing high-performance, highly concurrent networking applications with a focus on scalability and efficiency.
- Experience working with the Holepunch technology stack, including HyperDHT, Hyperswarm, Hypercore, Hyperbee, Hyperdrive, and UDX-native, is considered advantageous.
