Job Overview
The successful candidate will join the customer’s team as a UI Developer, taking responsibility for building responsive, visually engaging, and user-friendly web interfaces. Working closely with designers and software engineers, they will transform design concepts into high-quality, accessible, and high-performing digital experiences. The role is ideal for a professional with a passion for creating pixel-perfect interfaces, strong front-end development expertise, and a solid understanding of user experience (UX) best practices.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and maintain sophisticated user interfaces using React, TypeScript, and modern front-end technologies.
- Convert Figma designs and wireframes into reusable, pixel-perfect components using Tailwind CSS, SCSS, and Bootstrap.
- Deliver responsive and consistent user experiences across a wide range of devices and web browsers by following industry best practices.
- Improve application performance while ensuring compliance with WCAG web accessibility standards.
- Integrate front-end components with REST APIs to support seamless data exchange and intuitive user interactions.
- Work closely with designers, developers, and key stakeholders to deliver high-quality digital solutions through effective collaboration and communication.
- Take ownership of the front-end architecture by promoting clean, maintainable code and contributing to regular code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills & Requirements
- Demonstrates 4+ years of professional experience in UI development, with strong expertise in React and TypeScript.
- Possesses advanced knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, and modern JavaScript (ES6+) development.
- Has proven experience creating responsive, mobile-friendly interfaces that perform consistently across multiple browsers.
- Shows strong technical ability in DOM manipulation, REST API integration, and front-end performance optimisation.
- Is proficient in using Git for version control and collaborating effectively within development teams.
- Can accurately transform Figma designs and prototypes into clean, maintainable, and production-ready code.
- Maintains a solid understanding of web accessibility (WCAG) standards and user experience (UX) best practices.
- Has experience designing scalable front-end architectures for complex or enterprise-level applications.
- Is familiar with automated testing frameworks used for front-end development and quality assurance.
- Previous contributions to open-source UI component libraries or design systems would be considered an advantage.
