Core Responsibilities
- Support the product refinement process by creating development tickets, analyzing requirements, and helping define the work needed for implementation.
- Follow the architectural decisions established by the team while understanding the rationale and considerations behind them.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas, approaches, and solutions to technical and product-related challenges.
- Contribute to proof-of-concept projects and prototypes designed to gather feedback, assess feasibility, and support informed decision-making while identifying potential risks.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders through clear written and verbal communication.
- Independently analyze and troubleshoot complex tickets, break larger tasks into manageable components, and identify dependencies across teams and projects.
- Contribute to CI/CD processes, including automated testing, while continuously improving product test coverage.
- Identify potential adoption and release barriers and help develop strategies to support successful product and technology implementation.
- Work closely with the Product Manager and wider team to develop strategic launch and release plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Encourage cross-team collaboration to deliver end-to-end solutions and provide support throughout go-live activities.
- Analyze product adoption and identify opportunities to improve the customer journey by addressing enhancement requests and implementing appropriate solutions.
- Take an active role in maintaining system hygiene and addressing technical issues that could affect product performance and reliability.
- Help prevent future system hygiene issues by consistently producing clean, reliable, and high-quality code.
- Follow established coding standards and remain informed about the latest technologies, development practices, and industry best practices.
- Promote continuous learning and establish a personalized development path that supports technical growth and long-term career progression.
- Independently manage complex development tickets while collaborating with team members to drive continuous improvement.
- Contribute to a high-quality code review process by providing thorough, constructive, and technically sound feedback.
- Leverage AI tools and techniques to support software development activities, including code generation, automated testing, debugging, optimization, and problem-solving.
- Apply AI-driven insights to identify patterns, automate repetitive processes, improve development efficiency, and enhance overall product quality.
- Evaluate and incorporate appropriate AI and machine learning capabilities to strengthen product functionality and improve the user experience.
- Stay informed about emerging AI trends, tools, and best practices to support continuous learning, innovation, and effective software development.
Skills & Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, together with at least three years of relevant experience or demonstrated proficiency through a combination of education and practical experience.
- Strong knowledge of software design principles, development tools, programming technologies, frameworks, and relevant technical domains.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language.
- Practical experience in developing web-based applications.
- A solid understanding of software engineering best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, testing, and quality assurance.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders in a professional, respectful, and constructive manner.
- Proficiency with code versioning and source control tools, particularly Git.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience working with JavaScript or TypeScript and C#, as well as modern frameworks such as Angular or React.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS), including Lambda, CloudFormation, and API Gateway.
- Experience working within Agile or Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies and practices.
