Job Overview
The successful candidate will work directly with KATCODE, a live learning platform focused on helping students build strong programming fundamentals. The role will involve supporting a structured learning experience that combines interactive quizzes, practical software development, and engaging educational content to help students strengthen their coding skills and knowledge.
Core Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance responsive user interfaces for the KATCODE learning platform.
- Translate product requirements and educational workflows into clear, intuitive, and user-friendly experiences.
- Improve the platform’s navigation, page layouts, usability, accessibility, and overall visual consistency.
- Work with the existing platform while contributing to the continuous improvement and development of its front-end experience.
- Develop and maintain reusable UI components and design patterns where appropriate.
- Test and optimize interfaces across both mobile and desktop devices to ensure a consistent user experience.
- Collaborate closely with the founder and other core-team contributors to support product development and improvements.
- Document key design decisions, updates, and contributions to ensure clarity and consistency across the platform.
Skills & Requirements
- The ideal candidate will be a university student with an interest in UI/UX design, front-end development, or a combination of both.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently, manage assigned responsibilities, and meet agreed deadlines.
- A good understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive web design.
- Familiarity with Tailwind CSS, Thymeleaf, JavaScript, and HTML will be considered an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of user experience principles and best practices will also be beneficial.
- A strong willingness to learn, develop new skills, and grow within the role will be valued more than prior knowledge of every technology used.

Important Information
This is an unpaid volunteer position, and therefore does not include a salary or guaranteed financial compensation.
Selected volunteers will be required to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) before gaining access to internal company systems or documentation. The MOU will outline the volunteer’s responsibilities, confidentiality requirements, intellectual property provisions, security obligations, and terms of contribution.
