SEO Specialist – Pavago

Job Overview

The organisation is seeking an experienced SEO Specialist to lead initiatives that enhance organic growth, search engine visibility, and inbound website traffic across a portfolio of high-impact websites.

This is a practical, results-driven position that focuses on implementing and managing key SEO strategies, including:

  • Optimising technical SEO performance
  • Developing keyword research and content optimization strategies
  • Monitoring and improving website health and crawlability
  • Driving sustainable growth in organic traffic and search rankings

The ideal candidate will have strong experience using SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Analytics, and technical SEO auditing tools, with the ability to analyse data, identify opportunities, and deliver measurable improvements in online performance.

Core Responsibilities

Keyword Research & SEO Strategy

  • Conduct comprehensive keyword research using SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Google Keyword Planner
  • Map keywords according to search intent and funnel stages
  • Develop content strategies aligned with organic growth objectives
  • Identify ranking opportunities and content gaps to improve visibility

On-Page SEO Optimization

  • Optimize meta titles and descriptions, H1–H3 headings, internal linking, and URL structure
  • Implement schema markup (structured data) to enhance search visibility
  • Ensure all content is SEO-friendly, high-quality, and user-focused
  • Conduct regular content audits and recommend improvements

Technical SEO

  • Perform technical SEO audits using Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, and SEMrush
  • Identify and resolve crawl errors, indexing issues, broken links, and duplicate content
  • Improve Core Web Vitals, page speed, and mobile performance
  • Manage XML sitemaps, robots.txt files, and canonical tags

Off-Page SEO & Link Building

  • Develop and execute ethical link-building strategies including guest posting, PR outreach, and partnerships
  • Monitor backlink profiles for quality and performance
  • Identify and disavow toxic backlinks where necessary

Analytics & Reporting

  • Track keyword rankings, organic traffic, and conversion performance
  • Use Google Analytics and Google Search Console for performance analysis
  • Build dashboards using Looker Studio, Power BI, or similar tools
  • Deliver clear weekly and monthly performance reports with actionable insights

Collaboration

  • Work closely with content writers, developers, and marketing teams
  • Provide SEO input for website redesigns, migrations, and new site launches

Skills & Requirements

  • Demonstrates a strong blend of technical SEO expertise and content strategy development
  • Highly data-driven, with the ability to translate insights into actionable improvements
  • Proactive in staying current with search engine algorithm updates and SEO trends
  • Excellent communication skills, able to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical teams
  • Strong attention to detail with a disciplined approach to execution and delivery

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2+ years of SEO experience
  • Proficient in industry tools including:
    • SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog
    • Google Analytics and Google Search Console
  • Solid understanding of:
    • On-page SEO
    • Technical SEO
    • Off-page SEO
  • Experience working with CMS platforms such as:
    • WordPress
    • Webflow
    • Shopify

Nice to Have

  • Proven experience ranking websites for competitive keywords
  • Familiarity with schema markup and structured data implementation
  • Experience conducting advanced technical SEO audits
  • Exposure to international SEO and multi-language website optimisation
  • Background in SaaS, e-commerce, or content-led digital businesses
