Role Overview

The Search & Web Management Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the regional digital strategy, with a strong focus on SEO, SEM, and website optimisation. The role ensures that brands across Sub-Saharan Africa are highly discoverable, well-positioned in search results, and deliver seamless digital experiences.

Key responsibilities

Key responsibilities include leading the regional website and search strategy, managing agency partners, and aligning digital initiatives with global standards. The role also plays a critical part in improving user experience across websites, ensuring strong performance in navigation, design, speed, and mobile optimisation.

In addition, the role requires strong analytical capability, using data and insights to improve performance, guide decision-making, and optimise digital investments. Budget ownership and governance of digital agencies are also core parts of the position, ensuring effective use of resources and compliance with data protection standards.

This is a hybrid role based in South Africa (Midrand, Gauteng), making it accessible to qualified professionals across South Africa who are able to work within SSA regional requirements and collaborate with global teams virtually.

Requirements for This Role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in digital marketing, with a strong focus on SEO, SEM, or website management
  • Experience working with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, SEMrush, or similar platforms
  • Strong knowledge of Google Analytics (GA4), Looker Studio, or other web analytics tools
  • Understanding of CMS platforms (e.g. Adobe Experience Manager or similar)
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and UX/UI principles
  • Experience managing digital agencies or cross-functional marketing teams
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, data-driven environments
