Job Overview
As a Copywriter, the successful candidate will leverage exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills to develop compelling content that strengthens the organisation’s brand positioning, supports thought leadership initiatives, increases audience engagement, and generates inbound leads that contribute to the sales pipeline. A strong portfolio showcasing high-quality written work is essential for demonstrating the skills required for this position.
Working closely with subject matter experts and internal stakeholders, the role offers the opportunity to create impactful content that helps prospective students understand how education can support meaningful career growth and professional development. Collaboration with teams across Design, Product Marketing, Email Marketing, and other departments will be key to delivering clear, engaging messaging that encourages audience action and improves the student journey.
The ideal candidate will be capable of developing innovative and creative content concepts while staying informed about emerging social media trends and evolving content strategies. They will be responsible for producing persuasive copy across multiple channels and formats, including email campaigns, websites, landing pages, public relations materials, blog articles, social media content, and video scripts.
In addition, the role requires the ability to incorporate data-driven insights and user research into content development. The successful applicant will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, adapting content quickly based on performance metrics, stakeholder feedback, and changing business requirements to ensure maximum effectiveness and audience impact.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop clear, compelling, and consistent content that effectively communicates the organization’s brand identity, values, and unique story.
- Collaborate with Content Marketing and Email Marketing teams to generate innovative content ideas and conduct research that supports broader marketing objectives.
- Produce high-quality, SEO-focused blog articles designed to increase organic visibility, website traffic, and audience engagement.
- Create persuasive and engaging copy for email campaigns, social media platforms, and video content.
- Develop marketing content for paid advertising initiatives across channels such as Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and other digital platforms.
- Continuously review, refine, and enhance website content to improve user experience, engagement, and conversion performance.
- Create and manage engaging social media content that strengthens audience connections and promotes brand awareness.
- Oversee the day-to-day management of social media communities, including audience interaction, engagement, and relationship building.
- Monitor and optimize email marketing campaigns to improve open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and overall campaign effectiveness.
- Support initiatives that enhance brand recognition, credibility, and thought leadership within the industry.
- Utilise data and performance insights from tools such as Google Analytics, CRM systems, and other reporting platforms to guide content strategy and decision-making.
- Stay informed about conversion rate optimisation (CRO), A/B testing methodologies, and other digital marketing best practices, applying these insights to improve content performance and business results.
Skills & Requirements
- A minimum of 2–3 years’ professional experience in copywriting, content creation, or editorial roles.
- At least one year of hands-on experience contributing to brand messaging strategies for a large consumer-facing or business-focused organization.
- A qualification in Creative Writing, Journalism, Marketing, English, Communications, or a related discipline.
- Exceptional written communication skills with a strong command of language, grammar, and storytelling, supported by highly effective verbal communication abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve and exceed performance goals, coupled with a results-driven and ambitious mindset.
- Solid understanding of digital marketing principles, channels, and best practices.
- Practical experience using Google Analytics and other analytical tools to evaluate content performance and support data-driven decision-making.
- Working knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) techniques and content optimization strategies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three or more years of copywriting experience, including involvement in thought leadership initiatives, brand positioning, messaging development, and corporate rebranding projects.
- A proven record of excellence in brand writing, supported by industry recognition, awards, or notable professional achievements.
- Experience creating content for established brands that engage with large audiences on a monthly basis.
- Previous experience managing or editing content for a high-traffic digital platform, such as a major blog, website, online publication, or content hub.
