Providence Hotels is seeking a motivated, results-oriented SEO Specialist to take full responsibility for enhancing the search engine performance of its hotel websites.
This hands-on position is ideal for an experienced SEO professional with expertise in technical SEO, on-page optimization, strategic planning, implementation, performance monitoring, and continuous website improvement. The successful candidate will oversee the entire SEO lifecycle, from research and strategy development to execution, reporting, and performance analysis. This role is not focused on content creation or link-building, but rather on delivering comprehensive SEO strategies that drive measurable results.
A key responsibility will be leading AI Search Optimization and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) initiatives, ensuring the company’s brands remain highly visible and competitive across AI-powered search platforms and evolving search technologies.

Core Responsibilities
- Oversee and drive the overall SEO performance of Providence Hotels’ portfolio of websites.
- Design, implement, and manage comprehensive six-month SEO strategies tailored to each hotel property.
- Perform in-depth technical SEO audits and execute improvements to enhance website performance and search visibility.
- Optimize on-page SEO elements, including website architecture, internal linking, metadata, content enhancements, and user experience.
- Develop and implement strategies to strengthen brand visibility across AI-powered search engines and generative search platforms.
- Conduct extensive keyword research, competitor benchmarking, and search intent analysis to uncover growth opportunities.
- Track and evaluate key SEO performance indicators, including search rankings, organic traffic, conversion rates, and overall website performance.
- Prepare detailed SEO reports, providing actionable insights and performance updates to management.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure SEO best practices are consistently integrated across all digital initiatives.
- Proactively identify emerging SEO trends, optimization opportunities, and innovative strategies to support continuous business growth.
Skills & Requirements
- A minimum of three years’ experience in SEO within a digital marketing or agency environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in technical SEO, including the successful implementation of optimization strategies.
- Proficiency in using Screaming Frog or comparable website crawling and auditing tools.
- Strong working knowledge of leading SEO platforms such as Semrush, Ahrefs, or equivalent keyword research and analytics tools.
- Solid understanding of Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Search Console, and Looker Studio for tracking and reporting website performance.
- Proven ability to develop, execute, and manage end-to-end SEO strategies, from research and planning through to implementation and optimization.
- Practical experience implementing SEO improvements within WordPress websites.
- Experience monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on SEO performance using key metrics and data-driven insights.
- Familiarity with AI-powered tools and their practical application within modern SEO workflows.
- Knowledge of AI Search, Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and emerging trends shaping the future of search.
- Excellent analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- The ability to work independently, manage priorities effectively, and take full ownership of assigned projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the hospitality, travel, or tourism industry would be considered advantageous.
- Previous experience managing SEO strategies for multi-location or multi-property websites is beneficial.
- Exposure to international SEO campaigns and global search optimization practices is an added advantage.
