Core Responsibilities
- Develop and optimise MetaMask’s growth engine to enhance user engagement and retention.
- Design and implement user-focused solutions across MetaMask platforms, including Extension, Mobile, and Web clients.
- Contribute to the development of backend APIs and middleware that support consumer-facing experiences.
- Create seamless, secure, and intuitive Web3 interactions that provide an exceptional user experience.
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver high-quality features.
- Participate in code reviews and uphold rigorous code quality and best practices.
Skills & Requirements
- Over 3 years of experience with mobile technologies.
- 3+ years of experience building websites and/or applications.
- Proficiency in React and React Native.
- Strong command of modern JavaScript, including ES6 and TypeScript.
- Understanding of blockchain fundamentals and Web3 integration.
- Knowledge of cross-platform and browser compatibility issues.
- Experience working with APIs and middleware services.
- Background in agile development methodologies.
- Experience developing applications with clean code, thorough testing, and adherence to coding standards.
- Awareness of web-based security considerations.
Desirable / Bonus Skills:
- Experience with in-app marketing and engagement tools (push notifications, carousel banners, in-app modals).
- Familiarity with DeFi protocols, token swaps, or fiat on/off ramps.
- Knowledge of digital financial products.
- Strong interest in blockchain technologies and Web3.
- Basic understanding of cryptography principles.
- Experience working in distributed or remote teams.
- Prior experience in Web3 development.
- Familiarity with the Web3 wallet ecosystem.
- Experience with performance optimisation.
