Core Responsibilities
- On-Page Optimisation: Plans and implements strategies for website content, meta tags, and internal linking to enhance search engine rankings.
- Keyword Research: Identifies, evaluates, and integrates targeted keywords to attract relevant website traffic.
- Technical SEO: Conducts website audits to ensure crawlability, proper indexation, and optimal structure; oversees site speed, mobile responsiveness, and schema markup implementation.
- Link Building: Develops and executes backlink strategies aimed at boosting domain authority and online visibility.
- Performance Analysis: Tracks, measures, and reports on SEO performance metrics—including ROI, traffic, and search rankings—using tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, and SEMrush.
- Strategy & Industry Trends: Keeps abreast of search engine algorithm updates and emerging industry trends to refine and adapt SEO strategies.
Skills & Requirements
- Experience: Demonstrates proven expertise as an SEO Specialist or in a comparable role, typically with 2–5+ years of hands-on experience.
- Analytical Skills: Proficient in SEO and web analytics tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console.
- Technical Knowledge: Possesses a solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, along with experience managing CMS platforms like WordPress.
- Content Strategy: Collaborates effectively with content teams to develop high-quality, search-optimized content.
- Education: Holds a BS or MS degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, preferred but not mandatory.
