Job Overview
Hellokid is a well-established online education provider that has been operating in the industry for nearly 11 years, having been founded in 2014. The organisation offers one-on-one English teaching to learners aged between 4 and 16 years old through its dedicated online platform, ClassIn.
Tutors deliver structured 25-minute lessons using teaching materials supplied by Hellokid, ensuring consistency and quality across all classes. Successful candidates will be contracted for an initial period of one year, with the opportunity for renewal based on performance and mutual agreement.
Payments are processed monthly by the 25th via PayPal or Payoneer. In addition to teaching, Hellokid operates across three departments, with dedicated teams focused on student recruitment and enrolment to support the ongoing growth of the platform.
Skills & Requirements
- A minimum of one year’s teaching experience, supported by a recognised teaching qualification such as TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, or an equivalent certification.
- Availability to teach between 4 to 6 days per week, with at least 14 fixed working hours scheduled during peak times (18:00–21:30 Beijing Time, Monday to Sunday). Preference is given to candidates who can work weekends, and daily availability must include at least four consecutive time slots. If only four working days are available, one of these must fall on a weekend.
- Access to a stable, high-speed internet connection, with a minimum of 10 Mbps upload and 30 Mbps download speeds, as well as a suitable computer setup, including at least an Intel Core i5 processor or equivalent with a processor benchmark score above 4000.
- Candidates from non-native English-speaking countries are preferred, including South Africa, Argentina, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Mexico, Morocco, Nigeria, Oman, Portugal, and Serbia.
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification is required.
- Possession of a recognised English teaching certificate, such as TEFL or TESOL, is essential.

Tutors who conduct demo classes are rewarded with a base bonus of USD 4 for each student who attends a demo lesson and subsequently enrols and pays for the course. The final bonus amount is determined by the tutor’s student sign-up rate. - Hellokid Teacher Award:
Outstanding performance is recognised through the Hellokid Teacher Award, with cash prizes ranging from USD 10 to USD 30 awarded to selected teachers.
