Core Responsibilities
- Create high-quality content that aligns with the organisation’s brand values, objectives, and desired identity.
- Collaborate with marketing and SEO teams to develop web content and monitor its performance over time.
- Coordinate with proofreaders to ensure all content is accurate and error-free.
- Produce and publish engaging content across multiple platforms, including websites, blogs, email campaigns, product descriptions, and videos.
- Optimise content for search engines using target keywords while keeping it informative and engaging.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices and monitor competitor activity for benchmarking.
- Apply SEO strategies to maximise the online visibility of content in search results.
- Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend improvements to enhance content performance.
- Follow an editorial calendar and collaborate with content managers, editors, and web publishers to ensure timely delivery.
- Leverage knowledge of the organisation’s mission and industry standards to inspire ideas and maintain content quality.
- Organise writing schedules to complete drafts and finalised projects within deadlines.
Skills & Requirements
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing Communications, or possesses equivalent professional experience.
- Brings a minimum of 1 year of experience in copywriting and/or SEO writing.
- Demonstrates a strong interest in cars, auto repair, and the automotive industry.
- Possesses foundational knowledge of SEO principles and their application in content creation.
- Understands diverse target audiences and adapts messaging accordingly.
- Exhibits excellent grammar, spelling, and language skills.
- Capable of editing and proofreading clear, concise, and engaging marketing content, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Shows aptitude for creative thinking under tight and variable deadlines while maintaining high-quality output.
- Demonstrates strong organisational and time management skills.
- Able to work independently, self-motivated, and able to execute tasks with minimal supervision.
- Works effectively within a team environment, including participation in conference calls and collaborative projects.
- Possesses strong communication skills and responds promptly to team communications.
