Job Overview
The Web Developer will be responsible for developing and optimising modern, scalable web applications that meet both business objectives and technical best practices. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and backend developers, to deliver seamless, responsive, and visually engaging digital experiences. It is well-suited for a developer who excels in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and demonstrates a strong commitment to innovation and writing clean, maintainable code.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain responsive web applications using modern frameworks and technologies.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate design concepts into functional and visually engaging interfaces.
- Integrate front-end and back-end components to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing systems to improve functionality and user experience.
- Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code following industry standards.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies, tools, and best practices in web development.
- Participate in agile development cycles, including code reviews and team stand-ups.
Skills & Requirements
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Possesses 3–5 years of experience in web development or a comparable role.
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+), and at least one modern framework such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Experienced in working with RESTful APIs, version control systems (Git), and responsive design principles.
- Knowledge of back-end technologies such as Node.js, Python, or PHP is an advantage.
- Understands SEO best practices, accessibility standards, and performance optimisation techniques.
- Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Fluent in English, with additional language skills considered a plus.
