Project Overview
The client is focused on enhancing omni-channel experiences for flights, hotel bookings, and car hire within their Rewards program. Current customer experiences are inconsistent, and they are seeking a designer who can bridge digital and non-digital touchpoints to improve usability and engagement.
Role Summary
This contract position is for a User Interface Designer based in Johannesburg with a hybrid work model, offering the flexibility to work from home on select days. The designer will create visual design elements, develop mockups, and collaborate with front-end developers to enhance the overall user experience. This role requires a hands-on approach to UI design, ensuring that interfaces are both intuitive and visually appealing.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-quality visual elements for web and mobile interfaces.
- Create mockups and interactive prototypes to communicate design solutions effectively.
- Collaborate closely with front-end developers to implement designs accurately.
- Improve overall user experience by applying strong UX/UI principles.
- Work independently while contributing to a collaborative, hybrid team environment.
- Stay current with design trends and best practices to ensure interfaces remain innovative and user-focused.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in Visual Design and creating mockups.
- Hands-on experience with front-end development is an advantage.
- Strong UX/UI design skills with attention to usability and aesthetics.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Computer Science, or related field is preferred.
- Proficiency with design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or similar platforms.
