About the Role
GLOBAL PACIFIC SUPPORT is on the lookout for a skilled and results-oriented Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist to become an integral part of its growing digital marketing team. This is a fully remote position, ideally suited for professionals based in South Africa who are passionate about driving online visibility, improving search engine rankings, and generating organic traffic through data-driven strategies.
In this role, the SEO Specialist will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing the company’s overall SEO strategy. The successful candidate will work closely with content creators, web developers, and marketing teams to ensure that all digital content aligns with best SEO practices and supports business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute effective SEO strategies to increase online presence
- Conduct in-depth keyword research and implement findings into on-page optimization
- Perform regular website audits to identify issues and recommend improvements
- Optimize website content, landing pages, and blog posts for search engines
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics and Search Console
- Stay current with search engine algorithm changes, trends, and emerging SEO technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance overall content strategy
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience as an SEO Specialist or similar role
- Strong understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors
- Proficiency in SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Google Search Console, Google Analytics)
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and content management systems (CMS)
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate data into strategic action
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of working independently
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field
