A leading South African e-commerce company is seeking a CRM Campaign Specialist to join its marketing team. This is a hybrid opportunity based at OneDayOnly HQ, where the successful candidate will help execute customer lifecycle marketing campaigns across multiple CRM channels to drive engagement, retention, and repeat purchases.

About the Role

The CRM Campaign Specialist will work closely with the CRM Manager to execute and optimise customer marketing campaigns across Email, Push Notifications, WhatsApp, and other CRM channels.

The role focuses on campaign execution, customer segmentation, lifecycle marketing, performance analysis, and continuous optimisation to improve customer engagement throughout the buying journey.

This opportunity is ideal for a data-driven marketing professional with experience in CRM platforms and e-commerce marketing automation.

What This Role Entails

CRM Campaign Management

The successful candidate will build, quality check, schedule, and deploy CRM campaigns across multiple communication channels while ensuring campaigns are delivered accurately, on time, and in line with brand standards.

Lifecycle Marketing

The role includes supporting and optimising automated customer journeys such as welcome campaigns, browse abandonment, cart abandonment, post-purchase communications, win-back campaigns, and customer re-engagement initiatives.

Customer Segmentation & Personalisation

Responsibilities include building customer segments based on behavioural data, supporting personalised marketing campaigns, and implementing dynamic content to improve customer experiences.

Campaign Testing & Optimisation

The CRM Campaign Specialist will conduct A/B testing, analyse campaign performance, and continuously improve subject lines, messaging, send times, customer journeys, and audience targeting.

Reporting & Insights

The role involves preparing weekly and monthly CRM performance reports, analysing customer behaviour, identifying trends, and providing recommendations to improve engagement and retention.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

The successful candidate will work closely with creative, merchandising, product, brand, and technology teams to coordinate campaign delivery and ensure marketing initiatives are executed successfully.

What They Are Looking For

The ideal candidate is an organised and analytical CRM professional with experience managing lifecycle marketing campaigns in an e-commerce environment.

They should have strong technical knowledge of CRM platforms, enjoy working with customer data, and be passionate about improving campaign performance through testing and optimisation.

Excellent communication and project management skills are essential.

Requirements for This Role

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Commerce, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3–5 years of experience in CRM, email marketing, or marketing automation, preferably within e-commerce
• Experience using CRM platforms such as Bloomreach, Klaviyo, Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Emarsys, Netcore, or similar
• Strong understanding of customer lifecycle marketing
• Experience building and optimising automated customer journeys
• Knowledge of customer segmentation and personalisation strategies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience analysing campaign performance and making optimisation recommendations
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills
• SQL knowledge (advantageous)
• Basic HTML and CSS knowledge for email marketing
• Experience with GA4, Tableau, or Looker Studio (advantageous)
• Experience with Push Notifications and WhatsApp marketing
• Familiarity with Asana, Jira, and Litmus is beneficial
