Job Overview

The SEO Assistant role offers an exciting opportunity to join TalentPop’s remote team and contribute to the growth of leading eCommerce brands. Working alongside SEO and Marketing professionals, the successful candidate will support the implementation of search engine optimization strategies designed to enhance online visibility, improve search rankings, and drive business growth for clients.

This position is well-suited to a detail-oriented, analytical, and creative individual who is passionate about digital marketing and eager to develop a career in SEO. Core Responsibilities

  • Perform SEO audits, conduct keyword research, and assist with content optimization initiatives to improve search engine visibility and organic traffic.
  • Support backlink acquisition and outreach activities while monitoring website performance and user engagement through analytics platforms such as Google Analytics.
  • Maintain and manage product catalogues, website architecture, and content within the Shopify content management system (CMS).
  • Utilise customer engagement tools, including Klaviyo, to analyse user behaviour, evaluate campaign performance, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare and present SEO performance reports, track key metrics, and stay informed about emerging industry trends, algorithm updates, and search engine optimization best practices.

Skills & Requirements

Technical Requirements

  • Access to a stable and reliable internet connection with minimum upload and download speeds of 25 Mbps.
  • Ownership of a personal computer or laptop equipped with at least an Intel Core i5 processor or equivalent performance specifications.

Skills & Experience

  • A minimum of one year of experience in search engine optimization within an eCommerce environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of SEO and analytics platforms, including Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Analytics, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience using Shopify, Klaviyo, and Google Merchant Center would be advantageous.
  • Excellent written communication and content creation abilities, with graphic design experience using tools such as Canva considered a valuable asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage priorities effectively, and perform successfully in a remote, fast-paced working environment.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to learning and continuous improvement.
