Job Overview
The organisation offers an opportunity for talented and motivated students or entry-level interns to develop AI models from the ground up within a two-month period, enabling them to demonstrate their skills and capabilities. This role presents a unique opportunity for a self-motivated and technically proficient individual to design and build a complete enterprise-level system, incorporating advanced artificial intelligence technologies such as deep learning.
Core Responsibilities
- Responsible for designing and implementing complete AI models in accordance with the provided specifications.
- Tasked with developing both the front-end and back-end components of the platform.
- Expected to create and seamlessly integrate AI modules into the system.
- Required to design and optimise database schemas and queries to ensure efficiency and performance.
- Ensures system security is maintained at all times, particularly when handling sensitive identity verification data.
- Oversees the deployment of the solution using zero-cost cloud services.
- Maintains thorough documentation of code, APIs, and overall system architecture.
- Accountable for delivering the full project within the specified two-month timeframe.
Skills & Requirements
- No prior work experience is required; preference is given to current students or recent graduates in Computer Science, AI/ML, or a related field.
Required Skills (use of all LLMs permitted):
- Demonstrates strong programming ability in Python and JavaScript.
- Possesses an understanding of React.js for front-end development and Node.js for back-end development.
- Shows knowledge of FastAPI or similar Python-based web frameworks.
- Has familiarity with database design and SQL, particularly PostgreSQL integrated with Supabase.
- Displays capability in deploying applications on AWS, including CI/CD pipelines and manual environment setup using EC2 and S3.
- Maintains a solid understanding of fundamental machine learning concepts.
- Exhibits a high level of self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
Preferred Skills (use of all LLMs permitted):
- Demonstrates knowledge of AI/ML libraries such as TensorFlow, Keras, and HuggingFace Transformers.
- Shows familiarity with computer vision techniques, including the use of OpenCV.
- Possesses an understanding of natural language processing concepts.
- Has knowledge of facial recognition or emotion detection systems.
- Demonstrates an understanding of identity verification methodologies.
- Has experience with Docker containerisation.
- Displays prior exposure to cloud deployment practices on AWS.
Internship Details
- The internship is self-paced, with flexible duration options of 15 days or 1, 2, 3, 4, or 6 months.
- Participants are awarded a Project Work Experience certificate, comparable to an internship or externship.
- The position is offered on an unpaid basis.
