Job Overview

A growing agency is seeking a proactive and hands-on SEO Specialist to support a diverse portfolio of clients within the finance, SaaS, and technology sectors.

This role extends beyond a limited scope, requiring full ownership of the SEO lifecycle—from strategic planning to hands-on implementation—across multiple client accounts.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong strategic thinking abilities while maintaining a practical, results-driven approach to execution.

Working closely with the founder, the successful individual will play an integral role in enhancing client performance and contributing to the agency’s overall growth and scalability.

Core Responsibilities

  • Conducting comprehensive technical, on-page, and content audits to identify performance gaps and optimisation opportunities
  • Performing keyword research, clustering, and mapping search intent to guide content strategy
  • Developing detailed content briefs and contributing to content creation and optimisation where required
  • Implementing on-page SEO enhancements, including metadata, internal linking, and site structure improvements
  • Identifying and resolving technical SEO issues related to indexing, crawlability, and overall site architecture
  • Carrying out competitor analysis to uncover strategic opportunities and areas for growth
  • Supporting backlink strategies through research, outreach assistance, and identifying link-building opportunities
  • Building and refining internal linking structures to improve site navigation and SEO performance
  • Monitoring and analysing performance using tools such as GA4, GSC, and other SEO platforms, and reporting on key outcomes
  • Identifying emerging trends, opportunities, and quick wins across client accounts

This role is highly execution-focused, requiring the successful candidate to actively implement strategies rather than solely provide recommendations.

Skills & Requirements

  • A minimum of 2+ years’ experience in SEO within an agency environment (candidates with over 3 years of in-house experience may also be considered)
  • Strong understanding of technical, content, and off-page SEO principles
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Proficiency in industry-standard tools, including:
    • Screaming Frog
    • Ahrefs or SEMrush
    • SurferSEO or similar content optimisation tools
    • Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Search Console
  • Ability to work independently and effectively prioritise workload
  • Strong written English skills suitable for client-facing communication
  • Reliable and consistent internet connection
  • Access to a backup solution (e.g. generator, mobile hotspot, or equivalent)
  • Professional-level fluency in English

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working within finance, SaaS, or YMYL (Your Money or Your Life) industries
  • Exposure to digital PR or link-building outreach strategies
  • Familiarity with Shopify or eCommerce SEO practices
  • Interest or experience in automation tools and workflows (e.g. n8n, APIs, AI-driven processes)
