In this role, the Product Specialist is responsible for translating customer needs into intuitive, user-centred experiences while ensuring all design decisions support overarching product objectives. The position operates at the intersection of design, product management, and user research, effectively bridging business requirements with seamless and engaging digital experiences.
Core Responsibilities
- Ensure the delivery of a well-structured, functional, and user-focused product.
- Translate product and business requirements into clear, development-ready design solutions.
- Take full ownership of the design process, from initial concept through to final execution, converting customer needs into intuitive and engaging user interfaces.
- Utilise the ShadCN design library to effectively assemble and maintain consistent design elements.
- Collaborate closely with the Product Manager and/or Creative Director to research, design, and prototype innovative user experiences.
- Develop detailed user cases, scenarios, wireframes, prototypes, and mock-ups to define screens and user flows.
- Create high-quality visual assets and maintain comprehensive design guidelines to support accurate implementation.
Skills & Requirements
- Strong experience in UX/UI design, product design, or a related field.
- Strategic approach to design, considering usability, accessibility, and business impact.
- Proficiency in Figma.
- Experience with user research, journey mapping, and data-informed design decisions.
- Strong visual design skills, including typography, colour theory, and layout principles.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficient English copywriting skills.
- High level of dedication, enthusiasm, and a positive sense of humour.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to analyse and optimise user journeys.
- Experience working with design systems and symbol libraries.
- Access to a Mac with Figma, or strong preference for this design tool.
