Now Boarding is seeking an experienced UI & Visual Designer who is ready to produce career-defining work. The ideal candidate has spent several years refining their skills and developing a strong design sensibility. They are able to conceptualize and build digital brands with clarity and precision, create interfaces that feel cohesive and artful, and firmly believe that exceptional user experiences are built on outstanding visual design.
Skills & Requirements
- A qualification in Visual Communication or a related field, with the expertise to apply it at a high professional standard
- 5+ years of design experience, supported by a lifelong passion for visual creativity and craft
- Strong attention to layout, typography, and visual hierarchy, with a refined eye for detail and consistency
- Proven experience designing digital brands and websites, along with a strong appreciation for the role of technology in everyday life
- A design philosophy rooted in simplicity, with the ability to scale, adapt, and avoid unnecessary complexity in interfaces
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
- A strong desire to learn, grow, and continuously push creative boundaries
- A positive, team-oriented mindset with a genuine interest in contributing to studio culture and being part of something beyond individual work

The Location: This is a hybrid role, with the full team working together in person every Friday at Innovation City in Cape Town. These days are dedicated to studio collaboration, team sessions, shared meals, and social connection.
The Salary: Compensation is competitive and aligned with market rates, based on the candidate’s experience, skill level, and portfolio quality.
