Social Media Assistant / Graphic Designer- Rivka

Job Overview

The company is looking for a Social Media Assistant / Graphic Designer to assist in the creation, planning, and posting of content, foster community engagement, and support various branding initiatives. This role is supervised, with the individual working closely under the guidance of the Founder. The position requires someone who can take direction effectively, adapt swiftly, contribute ideas to campaigns and creative projects, and proactively assist the team with both regular responsibilities and ad-hoc tasks.

Core Responsibilities

  • Create compelling graphics, reels, and visual content for social media platforms.
  • Develop and maintain monthly content calendars, including writing captions.
  • Interact with followers and collaborate with other brands to strengthen community engagement.
  • Monitor social media trends, analyse performance metrics, and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Support brand design initiatives, including the creation of mood boards, logos, colour palettes, and complete brand identities.
  • Work closely with the Founder to contribute to campaigns and generate creative ideas.
  • Assist with occasional ad-hoc projects or tasks outside the usual scope.
  • Proactively pursue learning opportunities, such as courses, to enhance social media management and design capabilities.

Skills & Requirements

  • Minimum of one year’s experience in graphic design and/or social media management.
  • Proficient in design tools such as Canva and Adobe Suite, with the ability to produce high-quality visual content.
  • Basic skills in photography or video editing using tools like CapCut, Canva, or Adobe Premiere.
  • Access to a personal laptop and stable Wi-Fi capable of running design and editing software efficiently.
  • Solid understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter), including trends and algorithms.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and organisational abilities.
  • Ability to take direction positively, adapt flexibly, and maintain professionalism.
  • Certification in social media, marketing, or design is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Alignment with Christian values, with the ability to reflect these in everyday work.

Desirable

  • Experience in branding and brand identity design.
  • Familiarity with social media scheduling tools such as Later, Planoly, or Meta Business Suite.
