The role seeks a skilled Remote Web Developer (WordPress) based in South Africa. Core Responsibilities
- Build and maintain WordPress websites from provided Figma designs
- Develop custom themes, templates, and plugin integrations
- Ensure websites are fast-loading, responsive, and SEO-friendly
- Identify and fix bugs, troubleshoot issues, and conduct pre-launch testing
- Collaborate with remote designers and team members to meet project deadlines
Skills & Requirements
- Must be a South African citizen with full legal right to work
- Demonstrates a proven track record of working remotely in a productive, self-managed manner
- Is proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Exhibits strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
- Possesses a proactive, high-achieving mindset
- Can work effectively under pressure and consistently meet deadlines
- Has a reliable power backup solution during load shedding
- Owns a computer or laptop meeting the minimum specifications:
- CPU: Intel i3
- RAM: 8GB
- Storage: SSD 250GB
- Brings at least 3 years of hands-on experience developing WordPress websites
- Has a proven ability to accurately build websites from Figma design files
- Is confident in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP
- Is familiar with page builders and responsive design best practices
- Understands the basics of SEO as it applies to web development
