Job Overview

The Social Media Assistant will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations and expansion of the Legal Bestie brand. This role involves managing and scheduling social media content, researching trending celebrity legal stories, assisting with light legal administrative tasks (with training provided), and leveraging AI tools such as ChatGPT, Canva, and CapCut to create and optimise engaging content. The ideal candidate is highly organised, detail-oriented, and driven to achieve measurable growth across digital platforms while proactively identifying potential partnership opportunities.

Core Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the daily management of brand operations, including content posting and scheduling.
  • Monitoring and managing social media accounts across platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Threads, and Twitter.
  • Creating and maintaining a structured content calendar to ensure consistent posting and strong audience engagement.
  • Researching trending celebrity legal stories (e.g., Cardi B & Offset, Diddy, Stormi Steele) and summarising key details.
  • Accessing court documents or public filings related to trending stories when required.
  • Supporting e-filing of legal documents and liaising with courts as necessary (training provided).
  • Monitoring and managing the brand’s email inbox to prevent missed opportunities, court dates, or deadlines.
  • Utilising tools like ChatGPT, Canva, CapCut, and other AI applications to create, edit, and optimise content.
  • Proactively identifying and engaging potential brand partnerships and sponsorships.
  • Contributing to the growth of the brand by achieving measurable goals, including:
    • Expanding YouTube presence
    • Increasing TikTok following
    • Ensuring monthly efforts generate at least four times the cost of the assistant

Skills & Requirements

  • Exceptional English writing and communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in managing social media platforms, including Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and Threads.
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, as well as Canva and CapCut.
  • High attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to handle confidential legal information responsibly.
  • Experience with, or a willingness to learn, legal e-filing procedures.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for brand growth and media expansion.

  • Maintain a consistent and structured content posting schedule.
  • Deliver measurable growth across key social media metrics.
  • Increase brand engagement, secure sponsorships, and expand audience reach.
  • Provide dependable administrative and research support with minimal supervision.

Compensation

Compensation will be based on experience and is structured to increase in line with performance and the assistant’s impact on revenue growth.

Job Highlights

  • Hourly Rate: Approximately $6.94 USD per hour, converted to the applicant’s local currency.
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, with flexible hours aligned to Central Time.
  • Work Arrangement: Fully remote, work-from-home position.
  • Contract Type: Independent Contractor.
  • Additional Information: As this is a permanent remote role structured as an independent contractor position, candidates are required to provide their own computer and internet connection. Contractors will manage their own taxes and benefits. Compensation is hourly, with the rate determined by performance during the application process.
