Job Overview
The CRM and Email Marketing Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing lifecycle marketing strategies designed to enhance user onboarding, engagement, and retention. The role places a strong emphasis on email marketing, CRM automation, and optimising user journeys to ensure that sellers joining the platform are effectively guided, educated, and motivated to remain active as they grow their businesses.
The position also involves building and managing lifecycle funnels that support users from their initial interaction with the platform through to sustained, long-term engagement. The specialist will play a key role in ensuring that each stage of the user journey is strategically designed to encourage continued platform use and business growth.
Core Responsibilities
Lifecycle Marketing & User Journeys
- Develop and implement lifecycle marketing strategies to improve user onboarding, engagement, and retention.
- Design automated communication flows that guide new users through onboarding, activation, and ongoing engagement.
- Create lifecycle campaigns that educate sellers on how to effectively use the platform and maximise its features.
Email Marketing & CRM Management
- Plan, create, and manage email marketing campaigns, including onboarding flows, product updates, and feature education.
- Build automated email sequences such as welcome series, nurture campaigns, and engagement campaigns.
- Manage and optimise CRM segmentation to ensure targeted and relevant messaging for different user groups.
Conversion & Engagement Optimisation
- Analyse user behaviour to identify opportunities to improve onboarding and retention.
- Conduct A/B testing on subject lines, messaging, and email workflows to determine the most effective strategies.
- Optimise lifecycle funnels to increase user activation and encourage repeat platform usage.
Data & Performance Tracking
- Monitor lifecycle marketing performance metrics such as open rates, engagement, activation, and retention.
- Prepare reports and insights to support the refinement of lifecycle marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to enhance the user experience and improve communication flows.
Skills & Requirements
- Candidates should have 2–4+ years of experience in lifecycle marketing, email marketing, or CRM marketing roles.
- Prior experience working with e-commerce platforms, SaaS products, or digital marketplaces is considered advantageous.
- Strong proficiency in using email marketing platforms and CRM systems to manage campaigns and customer communication.
- Solid understanding of user lifecycle funnels and strategies for optimising the customer journey.
- Experience developing segmentation strategies and automated marketing workflows to deliver targeted messaging.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse data and make data-driven marketing decisions.
- Highly detail-oriented, with strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Capability to translate product features into clear, engaging, and user-focused communication.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup or entrepreneurial environment, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
