Core Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of and lead SEO strategies for assigned clients, ensuring they align with overall business objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Carry out high-level SEO audits while delegating specific implementation tasks to SEO Specialists and other team members.
  • Oversee and continuously refine keyword strategies, on-page optimisation plans, and backlink profiles.
  • Work closely with the content team to shape SEO-focused content strategies, maintain high-quality copy standards, and identify opportunities to increase rankings and conversions.
  • Analyse performance data through Google Analytics, Looker Studio, and other relevant tools, delivering actionable insights and comprehensive monthly reports to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date with Google algorithm updates and adjust strategies to maintain performance.
  • Coordinate with project managers, developers, and designers to ensure SEO best practices are effectively applied across entire websites.

Skills & Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, IT, or a related discipline.
  • Certification in Google Analytics.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience working as an SEO Manager or in a comparable role within a digital marketing agency.
  • Exceptional command of the English language.
  • In-depth knowledge of SEO across technical, on-page, and off-page practices.
  • Proficiency in leading SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, or similar alternatives.
  • Strong analytical skills with the capability to interpret data and communicate insights effectively.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • 9:00 am – 5:00 pm EST, Monday to Friday.
  • Fully remote position.

Working Environment

  • A starting salary ranging from $2,500 to $4,000 CAD, negotiated during the interview in line with individual competencies, skills, and experience.
