Job Overview
In this position, the Web Developer is tasked with creating and enhancing modern, scalable web applications that support business objectives while adhering to industry best practices. The role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams — such as designers, product managers, and backend engineers — to deliver seamless, responsive, and visually engaging digital experiences. Core Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain responsive web applications using contemporary frameworks and technologies.
- Work closely with UI/UX designers to convert design concepts into functional, user-friendly, and visually engaging interfaces.
- Integrate front-end and back-end components to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and enhance existing systems to improve overall functionality and user experience.
- Produce clean, well-structured, and maintainable code in line with industry standards and best practices.
- Keep informed of emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies within the web development landscape.
- Contribute to agile development processes, including participation in code reviews, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups.
Skills & Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Between three and five years of experience in web development or a comparable position.
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+), and at least one modern front-end framework such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Hands-on experience working with RESTful APIs, version control systems like Git, and principles of responsive design.
- Familiarity with back-end technologies such as Node.js, Python, or PHP, which will be considered an advantage.
- A solid understanding of SEO practices, accessibility guidelines, and performance optimisation.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, a keen eye for detail, and the capacity to work effectively and independently in a remote setting.
- Fluency in English, with additional languages regarded as beneficial.
