Job Overview

The company is looking to hire a UX/UI Designer tasked with crafting intuitive, visually appealing, and user-centric digital experiences. The designer will manage the end-to-end design process, including research, wireframing, high-fidelity mockups, development of design systems, and close collaboration with developers. This role ensures that digital products are not only aesthetically compelling but also highly functional, effectively aligning user needs with business objectives.

Core Responsibilities

  • Conduct user research, interviews, surveys, and usability tests; translate insights into personas, journey maps, and actionable design requirements.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch, iterating based on feedback.
  • Design polished, responsive interfaces with attention to layout, typography, colour, and branding; maintain style guides and design systems.
  • Ensure accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA) and consider internationalisation/localisation needs.
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers for feature prioritisation, design handoffs, and documentation.
  • Run A/B tests and continuously refine designs to optimise usability, engagement, and conversion.

Skills & Requirements

  • Strong user empathy with a sharp eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain design decisions clearly.
  • Portfolio demonstrating UX problem-solving and UI creativity.
  • Comfortable working in Agile/sprint environments.
  • Minimum 2 years of UX/UI design experience.
  • Proficient in Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch; experienced with wireframes, prototypes, and responsive layouts.
  • Solid grasp of UX principles and usability best practices.
  • Preferred: Experience with SaaS, mobile apps, or e-commerce; basic HTML/CSS knowledge; familiarity with design systems; exposure to analytics and user testing tools.

Typical Day

A UX/UI Designer focuses on understanding users, creating intuitive designs, and collaborating with teams. Daily activities include:

  • Conducting user research and analysing behaviour.
  • Designing wireframes and interactive prototypes.
  • Working with product managers and engineers to ensure designs are feasible and goal-aligned.
  • Maintaining design systems and style guides for consistency.
