Job Overview

BeMySocial is seeking a Social Media Executive to spearhead the planning, development, and execution of comprehensive social media campaigns across various platforms. Combining creativity with strategic thinking, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with clients and the agency’s global team to deliver impactful and innovative campaigns. This fully remote position allows the individual to work from anywhere in South Africa while remaining connected to BeMySocial’s dynamic UK-based team. The role operates on a fixed schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM UK time, Monday through Friday.

Core Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and execute social media campaigns across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and emerging channels.
  • Utilise diverse content formats such as short-form video, stories, and interactive posts.
  • Engage with clients to define social media objectives, develop detailed briefs, and present campaign ideas and updates.
  • Collaborate with creative teams (designers, copywriters, video producers) to ensure campaigns meet brand standards and deadlines.
  • Monitor and analyse campaign performance using tools like Meta Insights, Google Analytics, and platform-specific dashboards.
  • Provide data-driven insights to optimise campaigns and maximise ROI.
  • Stay informed on social media trends and innovations, including AI-driven content strategies, Web3 integrations, and new platforms.
  • Maintain organised project documentation, campaign schedules, and communication logs using modern project management tools.

Skills & Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in social media, marketing, or communications, preferably within an agency environment.
  • Strong expertise in social media strategy and campaign execution across platforms, including Meta Ads (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn) and emerging channels.
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills, with confidence in leading virtual meetings, responding to briefs, and presenting creative concepts.
  • Demonstrated project management abilities, capable of handling multiple campaigns and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • A creative mindset combined with a data-driven approach to achieve measurable results.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides), Slack, and project management platforms like Monday.com, Asana, or ClickUp.
  • Familiarity with design tools, including Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or Canva, is an advantage but not mandatory.
