SEO Strategist- Talent Shore

SEO Strategist (Financial Services Focus)

About the Company

The company is a UK-based marketing agency with a focus on the financial services sector. It supports wealth management, advisory, investment, fintech, and various other financial firms in achieving growth through strategic marketing, content planning, and digital performance optimisation.

The agency prides itself on delivering world-class insight to its clients. It is seeking an SEO Strategist with a deep passion for search, someone capable of understanding business needs and not only optimising performance but also leading, educating, and driving innovation in the evolving landscape of AI-driven search.

Job Overview

This position is tailored for a professional who excels as both a strategic thinker and a hands-on executor. The individual will drive organic growth strategies across client projects and the company’s own digital presence, acting as the in-house authority on search. Combining technical expertise with content strategy and thought leadership, they will ensure the organisation stays at the forefront of SEO innovation. Additionally, the role involves tracking emerging trends in SEO, AI, and generative search, and converting these insights into practical strategies that deliver measurable results for clients and the team.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead sophisticated SEO strategies for both financial services clients and the company’s own website.
  • Integrate SEO with content marketing, focusing on building topical authority, E-E-A-T, and high-quality on-page optimisation rather than chasing vanity metrics.
  • Monitor and respond to AI-driven search developments, proactively briefing the business on best practices and opportunities in the following areas:
    • Search Engine Optimisation (SEO): Ensuring websites are technically robust, strategically targeted, and aligned with high-intent user searches on platforms such as Google and Bing.
    • Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO): Structuring key content to appear in direct, AI-generated answers.
    • Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO): Positioning brands to be summarised, linked, or cited in generative search results and conversational interfaces.
    • Artificial Intelligence Optimisation (AIO): Making websites machine-readable and semantically clear for large language models (LLMs) to interpret and reference accurately.
  • Audit, optimise, and provide strategic guidance on content, site architecture, and link profile development, maintaining integrity and long-term impact.
  • Collaborate closely with account managers and writers, ensuring SEO insights influence campaign strategy and creative output.
    • Actively scan client accounts to identify opportunities for elevating performance, going beyond standard expectations when needed.
  • Communicate performance clearly, aligning recommendations with commercial objectives rather than solely technical metrics.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying innovative opportunities proactively, anticipating needs before they are requested.

  • In-depth knowledge of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO practices.
  • Advanced proficiency with tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, and SEMrush or Ahrefs.
