Job Overview

The ideal candidate will take charge of enhancing the company’s online visibility through the strategic use of top-tier SEO tools and AI-powered processes. They will oversee the entire workflow, from conducting technical site audits and implementing on-page improvements to refining content and delivering detailed performance reports. Their efforts will focus on achieving tangible gains in search rankings, website traffic, and conversion rates.

Core Responsibilities

The SEO Specialist will be responsible for managing the end-to-end optimisation of the company’s web presence through a mix of technical expertise, content strategy, and AI-enhanced workflows. Key duties include:

  • Technical Audits & Fixes: Conduct site crawls, identify technical issues, and implement solutions to improve site health and search performance.
  • Keyword Strategy: Perform keyword research, map terms to target pages, and maintain a structured keyword-to-URL framework.
  • On-Page Optimisation: Create and deploy optimised metadata, headings, structured data, and internal linking strategies in coordination with development teams.
  • Content Development: Produce or brief AI-assisted content, ensuring accuracy, quality, and adherence to SEO best practices.
  • Site Architecture: Build and maintain internal linking structures to enhance topical relevance and crawl efficiency.
  • Competitor Analysis: Identify content gaps and execute quick-win SEO strategies to improve SERP visibility.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor rankings, traffic, and technical health, providing actionable insights via analytics and reporting tools.
  • AI Workflow Management: Develop and refine AI-driven SEO processes to enhance efficiency and quality assurance.
  • Collaboration & Governance: Work closely with consultants, developers, and designers to ensure SEO integrity, document changes, and promote best practices across teams.

Skills & Requirements

The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of delivering measurable SEO results, with at least three years of hands-on experience in either an agency or in-house role. They should demonstrate strong technical SEO knowledge alongside expertise in on-page and content optimisation strategies.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Proficiency with leading SEO and analytics platforms such as Ahrefs or SEMrush, Google Search Console, and GA4.
  • Practical experience using AI-driven tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Jasper) to enhance analysis and content production.
  • Familiarity with on-page optimisation tools such as Surfer, Frase, or Clearscope.
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS for implementing or reviewing SEO fixes, with experience in WordPress.
  • High attention to detail, analytical precision, and a performance-focused approach.
  • Strong written communication skills and sound editorial judgement.
