Role Overview
Actonia SA is seeking an experienced SEO Specialist to join its remote team. The role is open to applicants based in South Africa, providing an opportunity to contribute to a results-driven digital environment. The SEO Specialist will be responsible for managing projects, analysing website performance, and implementing optimisation strategies to improve visibility across search engines. A strong focus will be placed on information architecture, technical SEO, and content strategy recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute SEO strategies designed to increase organic traffic and search engine rankings.
- Conduct comprehensive keyword research and competitor analysis to guide content development.
- Perform technical SEO and on-page audits, ensuring websites meet search engine best practices.
- Strengthen website authority through link-building initiatives and outreach campaigns.
- Track and interpret website performance metrics using industry-standard tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Screaming Frog.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to implement SEO recommendations effectively.
- Remain informed about the latest algorithm updates and SEO trends to maintain competitive performance.
- Deliver clear, concise, and data-driven reports to stakeholders during monthly updates and client meetings.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of proven SEO experience in either an agency or corporate environment.
- Availability of a minimum of 35 hours per month, including participation in virtual meetings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to prepare high-quality reports.
- Solid understanding of search engine functionality, SEO tools, and digital marketing principles.
- Flexibility to attend online meetings with clients and teams.
