This position will assume full ownership of the search strategy, including technical SEO, on-page optimisation, and content direction. The successful candidate will work towards clearly defined performance metrics linked to traffic quality, keyword performance, and overall pipeline contribution. The role requires an individual capable of driving sustainable, long-term organic growth within a B2B environment while balancing strategic oversight with detailed, hands-on execution.
Previous agency experience is strongly preferred.
Core Responsibilities
SEO Strategy and Roadmap
- Develop and implement a comprehensive SEO roadmap aligned with revenue objectives
- Conduct in-depth keyword research targeting high-intent B2B search terms
- Identify content gaps and ranking opportunities within accounting and automation topics
- Prioritise SEO initiatives based on impact, effort, and overall business alignment
Technical SEO
- Perform regular technical SEO audits and oversee implementation of improvements
- Optimise site architecture, internal linking structures, and crawl efficiency
- Monitor indexing status, Core Web Vitals, and overall website health
- Collaborate closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation of technical updates
On-Page and Content Optimisation
- Optimise existing content to align with target keywords and search intent
- Develop structured content briefs for new articles and landing pages
- Enhance metadata, schema markup, and overall on-page structure
- Align SEO efforts with paid media campaigns and broader marketing strategies
Reporting and Performance Tracking
- Track keyword rankings, traffic quality, and conversion performance
- Build and maintain clear, insight-driven reporting dashboards
- Analyse competitor performance and evolving search trends
- Continuously refine strategy based on data, performance metrics, and measurable outcomes
Skills & Requirements
- Brings between 3 to 6+ years of hands-on SEO experience, preferably gained within an agency setting
- Demonstrates a proven track record of driving organic growth for B2B or professional services organisations
- Possesses a strong understanding of technical SEO principles and best practices
- Is proficient in industry tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics
- Shows the ability to interpret SEO data and translate insights into clear, actionable strategic recommendations
- Applies a structured and methodical approach to prioritisation and execution
- Is comfortable working independently within a remote, startup-style environment
Nice to Have
- Experience within accounting, finance, SaaS, or automation-focused industries
- Familiarity with QuickBooks Online or broader financial software ecosystems
- Exposure to conversion rate optimisation (CRO) and landing page performance improvement
- Experience collaborating with paid media teams to support an integrated search strategy
