Job Overview

Digital Shift is looking for an SEO Analyst with a passion for data-driven strategy and optimising online visibility. The role involves strengthening client digital footprints, improving search rankings, and ensuring content resonates with target audiences.

The successful candidate will lead SEO initiatives, including keyword research, local SEO strategies, content optimisation, and performance tracking. By leveraging advanced tools and insights, the SEO Analyst will play a key role in driving measurable results and contributing to client growth.

Core Responsibilities

  • Carry out in-depth keyword research using platforms such as Ahrefs, Semrush, Moz, and Google Keyword Planner.
  • Analyse competitors to uncover opportunities, content gaps, and areas for strategic improvement.
  • Enhance website pages created by the content team through advanced on-page SEO optimisation techniques.
  • Track and evaluate critical SEO performance indicators, including organic traffic, user engagement, and conversion rates.
  • Prepare detailed performance reports that align results with overall SEO objectives and benchmarks.
  • Execute local SEO initiatives and manage link-building campaigns to strengthen domain authority.
  • Keep up to date with evolving SEO trends, tools, and best practices to maintain cutting-edge expertise.

Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Background in Google Business Profile optimisation, with added advantage for familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, and advanced SEO methods.
  • 2–3+ years of demonstrated experience working as an SEO Analyst or in a comparable digital marketing role.
  • Proficiency with leading SEO tools and platforms, including expertise in keyword research, XML sitemaps, and webmaster resources.
  • Strong knowledge of search engine algorithms, ranking signals, and current SEO best practices.
  • Excellent analytical abilities with the capacity to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies.

Additional Information

This position is offered on a full-time, remote basis. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate strong self-motivation, the ability to work independently, and consistent adherence to deadlines, while maintaining effective communication through project management and collaboration platforms. An overlap with the EST time zone is preferred, though not mandatory.
