The successful candidate will join a fully remote team and play a key role in strengthening Jellyhound’s service offering. Core Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, robust WordPress websites from initial concept through to final launch, ensuring projects are completed on time and to a high standard.
- Communicate clearly and professionally in English during client meetings and written correspondence, including emails and project updates.
- Manage and resolve support requests through a ticketing system, accurately tracking time spent and providing regular progress updates.
- Lead the development of responsive, SEO-friendly websites, primarily using WordPress and Elementor, while adhering to industry best practices.
- Work closely with designers, content creators, and support team members to ensure seamless project execution when required.
- Maintain and support existing client websites, including updates, bug fixes, and technical troubleshooting.
- Handle technical tasks such as website migrations, configuration, and issue resolution.
- Contribute to the improvement of internal workflows and processes, including participation in weekly departmental reviews.
- Mentor junior team members and provide ongoing technical guidance to support team development and knowledge sharing.
Skills & Requirements
- A minimum of five years’ proven experience in WordPress development.
- Strong technical proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP/MySQL.
- Demonstrated capability in project management, with the ability to oversee multiple tasks and timelines effectively.
- Experience working with external data sources and integrating APIs.
- Confidence in setting up, managing, and troubleshooting WordPress hosting environments and DNS configurations.
- A proactive interest in researching, evaluating, and adopting new technologies to improve development efficiency and outcomes.
- Proven experience using WordPress page builders, particularly Elementor, supported by a strong professional portfolio.
- Solid understanding of responsive design principles and modern web development best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently while successfully managing multiple projects at the same time.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Sound understanding of UX/UI principles and usability best practices.
Desirable (Not Essential):
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and website performance optimisation techniques.
- Experience with additional page builders and content management systems.
- Knowledge of AI-powered development or build tools.
- Basic understanding of digital marketing and analytics platforms, such as Google Analytics and Google Search Console.

Working Hours & Environment
- Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm London time (GMT/BST), with a one-hour lunch break included.
- The role requires the use of a personal computer and a stable, reliable internet connection.
- For the first six months, the successful candidate will remain connected to the wider team via voice communication throughout each shift, making a high-quality headset and microphone essential.
- The position offers full flexibility to work from home or any preferred private location, provided a secure, non-shared internet connection is used. Public or shared Wi-Fi networks are not permitted due to data security requirements.
