About the Client
The client is a small, fast-growing boutique agency with a focus on the Medical and Health sector. Job Overview
This role is ideal for a Senior SEO Manager or SEO Team Lead from a larger agency who is looking to make a tangible impact. The successful candidate will take full ownership of a smaller, high-value portfolio, where their work directly drives results. They will have the opportunity to design and implement systems, workflows, and strategies independently, without constant oversight.

Operations & Project Management
- System Ownership: Design, implement, and maintain the agency’s project management setup (ClickUp, Trello, or preferred tools), transforming current workflows into efficient, repeatable processes.
- Team Leadership: Manage and oversee the Content Writer and Link Builder, reviewing their work to ensure quality standards are met. Serve as the team’s quality gatekeeper, providing feedback when deliverables fall short.

- Client Reporting: Deliver regular updates and performance reports to clients via Slack, highlighting key metrics, insights, and progress.
- Growth Support: Contribute to proposal drafting and the development of SEO strategies for new clients, supporting overall agency growth.

- Technical Audits: Conduct monthly in-depth audits using Screaming Frog and Ahrefs, resolving issues such as canonicals, 404s, schema errors, and indexing bloat.
- Site Rebuilds & Migrations: Lead site rebuilds or migrations (Shopify/WordPress), managing redirects, cleaning metadata, and overseeing content migration to avoid penalties and maintain SEO performance.
- On-Page Optimizations: Execute high-level on-page SEO improvements, including title tags, internal linking structures, and collection page optimisation.
Content & CMS Execution
- Content Gatekeeping: Upload, format, and publish content to WordPress and Shopify, ensuring headings, images, and internal links are optimised before publication.
- Keyword Strategy: Map keywords strategically across pages to prevent cannibalisation and focus on high-intent, commercial search terms.
Skills & Requirements
- Organised Problem-Solver: Highly structured, resilient, and proactive; identifies and resolves issues before the Founder notices.
- Proven Seniority: 4+ years of agency experience managing 10+ concurrent accounts; prioritises revenue-generating tasks over routine work.
- Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, and Google Search Console; able to diagnose traffic drops or crawling issues quickly.
- CMS Proficiency: Expert in Shopify and WordPress; confident building new WordPress sites from scratch, editing theme files, and installing plugins without disrupting functionality.
- Exceptional English Skills: Near-native written and spoken English (C1/C2); acts as the final editor for all content, ensuring top-quality standards.
Why Join
- Autonomy: The role offers full independence with no micromanagement or time-tracking; performance is measured by results, not hours logged.
- Impact: As the Team Lead, the successful candidate will play a key role during the agency’s growth phase, helping scale the portfolio to 10–15 clients.
