About the Role
A leading global fintech and data technology company is expanding its design team and is seeking a highly experienced Senior Product Designer. The company operates one of the world’s top 10 most-visited websites, engaging over 10 million users across 23+ localizations, offering high-performance financial tools, data visualizations, and trading solutions.
This position is fully remote and open to candidates based in South Africa who have a strong background in designing complex, data-rich interfaces for trading platforms, investment tools, or fintech applications.
The successful candidate will work at the intersection of design and finance, helping shape intuitive, elegant solutions that bring clarity to intricate financial data — all at a global scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver impactful user experiences that simplify and visualize complex trading and financial data.
- Lead the full product design lifecycle, from wireframes and low-fidelity concepts to polished prototypes and responsive UI designs.
- Own and drive design strategy for critical areas of the platform, ensuring consistency, functionality, and high aesthetic standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams — including product managers, engineers, and fellow designers — to evolve the platform’s design language.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to validate ideas and continuously refine the product.
- Leverage usage data, user insights, and business objectives to inform and defend design decisions.
- Advocate for best practices in user-centered design across the product organization.
Requirements
- 3–4+ years of experience in UX/UI or product design roles, ideally focused on web and mobile products.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in the fintech, online trading, cryptocurrency, or investment space.
- Proven ability to design data-driven interfaces such as dashboards, trading platforms, and analytical tools.
- Strong command of responsive design, ensuring high-quality user experiences across desktop and mobile environments.
- Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams (engineering, product, research).
- Excellent English communication skills with a strong ability to present ideas and guide product conversations through design.
