Purpose of the Role

The Paid Media Specialist will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimising campaigns across search engines and social media platforms. The goal is to reach targeted audiences, maximise ROI, and drive measurable results in line with marketing objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, launch, and manage paid campaigns on platforms such as Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, and other digital channels.
  • Monitor campaign performance daily, ensuring spend efficiency and achievement of KPIs.
  • Conduct keyword research, audience targeting, and bid management to maximise ROI.
  • Continuously test creatives, ad copy, and formats to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide performance insights and clear recommendations to marketing stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and best practices in paid media and digital marketing.
  • Collaborate with content and design teams to deliver impactful advertising campaigns.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience as a Paid Media Specialist, Digital Marketing Executive, or Performance Marketing Manager.
  • Strong understanding of Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, and LinkedIn Ads.
  • Solid knowledge of SEO, analytics platforms (Google Analytics, GA4), and campaign optimisation techniques.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets effectively and deliver campaigns on time.
  • Based in South Africa.

Typical Requirements for a Paid Media Specialist Role

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (advantageous but not always required).
  • 2–4 years’ hands-on experience in paid media campaign management.
  • Proficiency in Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager and other ad platforms.
  • Strong understanding of web analytics tools such as Google Analytics (GA4).
