Teach English online to adult learners worldwide from the comfort of your home anywhere in South Africa. Lessons run 24/7, with peak hours in the afternoon, making this role ideal for those balancing work, family, or studies.
Skills & Requirements
To be considered for the role, candidates are expected to meet the following criteria:
- Native-level or C2-equivalent proficiency in English.
- A completed bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
- A recognised 40-hour TEFL or TESOL certificate is required. Equivalent qualifications such as CELTA, DELTA, or a university-level teaching degree in TEFL/TESOL are also accepted.
- Prior teaching experience is advantageous but not essential.
Please note: A bachelor’s degree and a valid teaching certification are minimum requirements. Applications that do not meet both criteria cannot be progressed.
Technical Requirements
(Essential for teaching on the Hyperclass platform)
Processor (one of the following):
- Intel i5 (10th generation or higher)
- AMD Ryzen 5 (3000 series or higher) with Nvidia GTX 1050 GPU or above
- Apple Mac with M1 chip (2020 or newer) or Intel i5 (10th generation or higher)
Additional Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 GB RAM
- Operating System: Windows 10 or later, or macOS 10.13 or later
- Browser: Google Chrome version 102 or higher
- Green screen setup required
