Job Overview

Skills & Requirements
- Completed matric certificate required; bachelor’s degree is a plus
- 120-hour TEFL/TESOL certification required
- Excellent spoken and written English with a neutral accent
- Confident using Zoom and other basic digital tools
- Strong online classroom presence
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to engage and interact with students in a virtual learning environment
Equipment & Infrastructure
- Laptop or PC with Intel® Core™ i5 or higher and at least 8GB RAM
- Stable fibre internet connection with minimum 25 Mbps download/upload (LAN cable connection required)
- Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) providing 4–5 hours of backup power
- Separate mini-UPS to keep fibre router powered during outages
- Noise-cancelling headset
- HD webcam
- Quiet, professional workspace suitable for online teaching
Hours
Candidates can choose between two available weekday schedules:
- Monday to Thursday: 13:00–17:00 (with a scheduled break) and 20:00–02:00 SAST
- Monday to Thursday: 16:00–02:00 SAST
Additional teaching hours are available on Saturdays from 20:00–22:30 SAST. On average, tutors can expect to be assigned approximately 10 hours of teaching per week.
