Job Overview

The Marketing & Social Media Assistant role is ideal for a creative professional who enjoys combining design, writing, and strategic thinking to bring marketing initiatives to life. This position involves active engagement in advertising, content creation, reporting, automation, and design projects, while collaborating closely with leadership to develop campaigns that drive growth for MixBloom and its partners.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong design and copywriting abilities, with proven experience in producing high-quality social media content and effective ad materials.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design and Creation: Develop visually engaging ad graphics for Facebook and Google Ads, as well as presentations, sales materials, and internal resources. Coordinate with video creators and editors to produce user-generated content (UGC) ads and other multimedia assets.
  • Analysis and Reporting: Support marketing analytics efforts by gathering and interpreting data, providing insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Content Development: Write and edit blog posts, newsletters, and social media content for MixBloom’s brand and the personal brands of its founders.
  • Automation: Assist in building and optimising marketing workflows; prior experience with tools such as Zapier is highly advantageous.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with leadership, including the Agency Growth Specialist, Team Development Manager, and Founders, to conceptualise and execute new campaigns and creative projects.

Skills & Requirements

  • Demonstrates strong graphic design skills, supported by a professional portfolio; video editing experience is considered an advantage.
  • Possesses creative thinking and proficient copywriting abilities, particularly for short-form advertisements, blog outlines, and newsletter introductions.
  • Experienced in coordinating marketing activities across advertising, content creation, and performance reporting.
  • Proficient in using marketing tools and automation platforms, with a strong preference for candidates experienced in Zapier.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Displays a proactive approach to problem-solving, with a willingness to experiment and continuously learn.
  • Excels in a remote-first environment, demonstrating independence, flexibility, and self-motivation.
