Job Overview
The role involves researching, distilling, and communicating complex concepts related to thinking, decision-making, mental models, performance, learning, and cognitive psychology, transforming them into clear, practical insights tailored for entrepreneurs. The successful candidate will take full ownership of the weekly High-Output Thinking newsletter and play a key role in developing upcoming courses within the Productivity, Thinking & Performance track.
Core Responsibilities
- Produce a weekly, high-impact newsletter focused on mental models, clarity, focus, decision-making, and cognitive performance, specifically designed for founders.
- Conduct in-depth research drawing from books, academic studies, practitioner frameworks, long-form interviews, and historical sources.
- Translate complex concepts into clear, practical, and memorable systems that can be easily applied by readers.
- Ensure all content maintains a consistent brand voice that is sharp, clear, founder-friendly, and free of unnecessary fluff.
- Create supporting materials—including outlines, summaries, and idea maps—to contribute to the development of future courses in the High-Output Thinking curriculum.
- Collaborate closely with the editorial team to refine topics, angles, and the depth of research.
- Demonstrate strong research discipline, with the ability to dig deep, cross-reference information, extract key insights, and simplify complex material.
- Participate in video podcasts and other multimedia initiatives as needed.
Skills & Requirements
Required:
- Demonstrated experience writing on topics such as mental models, performance psychology, learning, decision science, clarity, or related fields.
- Genuine passion for productivity, mental models, learning, and thinking.
- A strong portfolio showcasing long-form analysis, structured thinking, and the ability to synthesise complex concepts.
- Proven capability to translate research into actionable frameworks rather than generic “productivity tips.”
- Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.
- Availability to commence work by January 6, 2026.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with influential thinkers and frameworks, including Kahneman, Tversky, Annie Duke, Farnam Street, Naval Ravikant, Shane Parrish, Klein, Taleb, and Charlie Munger.
- Experience writing for founders, operators, or professionals who prioritise clarity, systems thinking, and actionable insights.

- Deliver a weekly newsletter that founders eagerly anticipate.
- Provide original, clear, and actionable thinking, going beyond mere summaries of popular books.
- Develop frameworks and mental models that entrepreneurs can implement immediately.
