Core Responsibilities
- Gather, analyse, and interpret user and business requirements, translating insights into intuitive and effective interface designs.
- Develop wireframes, user journeys, process flows, site maps, interactive UI prototypes, and detailed functional specifications.
- Lead visual design activities from concept through to final handover to development.
- Ensure all solutions adhere to accessibility, responsiveness, and performance best practices.
- Present product solutions clearly and confidently, both visually and verbally, to stakeholders.
- Facilitate UX workshops and collaborate closely with developers and business analysts to resolve user experience challenges.
- Oversee responsive website rollouts and conduct UX reviews of work in progress.
- Perform front-end build reviews, including cross-device and device-specific testing to ensure quality and consistency.
Skills & Requirements
- A relevant tertiary qualification, such as a degree in Communication Design, Interaction Design, or a related field, would be advantageous.
- 4–6 years’ experience in UX/UI/Interaction Design, including exposure to complex, data-driven business applications and processes, ideally within a consultancy or project-based environment.
- Proven experience leading and guiding a team.
- Demonstrated experience designing both customer-facing platforms and workflow-intensive systems.
- A naturally curious and proactive problem-solver, capable of navigating ambiguity and collaboratively driving priorities with minimal supervision.
- Strong knowledge of brand and design systems, including experience delivering customer-facing, brand-led website projects (such as rebrands) and translating design systems into scalable digital solutions.
- Proficiency in Figma, with the ability to manage multiple projects or workstreams concurrently.
- A comprehensive portfolio showcasing relevant work, clearly outlining design approaches and processes through detailed case studies and examples.
