Core Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, and maintains high-quality WordPress websites from initial concept through to final launch.
- Creates bespoke WordPress themes and plugins tailored to specific project needs, enhancing overall site functionality.
- Integrates third-party APIs and external web services to expand and improve website capabilities.
- Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves technical issues promptly to ensure smooth performance and an excellent user experience.
- Works closely with the design team to transform creative concepts into fully functional, visually engaging WordPress websites.
- Ensures all websites are optimised for performance, security, and responsiveness across all devices and browsers.
Skills & Requirements
- At least one year of proven hands-on experience in WordPress development.
- Strong command of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Solid back-end development capability using PHP.
- Working knowledge and experience with MySQL databases.
- Familiarity with different web hosting platforms and deployment procedures.
Advantageous (Not Essential)
- Experience applying SEO best practices to improve website visibility and performance.
- Understanding of website security principles and how to implement them effectively in real-world projects.
