About the Team
Luno’s Product Design team is a cross-functional collective of Product Designers and UX Writers, dedicated to crafting intuitive, accessible, and user-friendly digital experiences. With a design-led culture and a deep respect for content strategy, the team is expanding and looking for a Junior UX Writer to help shape the language that guides users through the world of crypto with confidence.
The Role at a Glance
This junior-level position is ideal for a budding UX Writer with foundational experience in copywriting or content design. The successful candidate will collaborate with experienced UX professionals to craft interface copy that is clear, helpful, and human. From microcopy in apps to error messages and onboarding flows, the UX Writer will help customers complete tasks and reach their financial goals confidently.
This is a hands-on learning opportunity to grow within a mature design team, gain experience with design systems, content testing, and iterative product development, all while helping to make crypto more accessible.
Key Responsibilities
- Write concise, user-friendly copy for Luno’s web and mobile products, including UI elements like buttons, labels, tooltips, and empty/error states.
- Collaborate with UX Writers, Product Designers, Product Managers, and Engineers to shape seamless product experiences.
- Contribute to Luno’s content design system (Matter), with a focus on reusable content patterns and voice consistency.
- Apply design thinking to content development—identifying problems, testing solutions, and refining based on user feedback.
- Participate in user research, usability testing, and A/B experiments to inform content decisions.
- Advocate for clarity, accessibility, and consistency in content across all product touchpoints.
- Learn to balance user needs, business objectives, and technical considerations in real-world product environments.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience & Skills
- 2–3 years of professional writing experience, preferably with exposure to digital product environments.
- Portfolio or work samples showcasing clear, thoughtful, user-facing content (e.g., UX copy, onboarding flows, product messaging).
- A basic understanding of user-centred design principles and how content influences user journeys.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading abilities, with excellent attention to detail.
- Familiarity with tools like Figma, Miro, and UserTesting—or a willingness to learn quickly.
- Interest in fintech, crypto, or complex digital ecosystems, with a desire to make them simpler for users.
