Job Overview
The Junior Copywriter position offers an opportunity to develop expertise while contributing to innovative campaigns for diverse brands. The role involves participating in the creation of strategy, conceptual ideas, content, and the execution of campaigns.
The successful candidate will be an essential member of the team, combining a strong awareness of trends and cultural insights with a versatile skill set that includes copywriting, research, scriptwriting, conceptual thinking, and content project planning.
Responsibilities include producing content for digital and web platforms—such as banners, articles, and e-commerce copy—as well as social media channels including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok. The Junior Copywriter will help brands adapt their tone of voice for these platforms, crafting content that resonates with target audiences. Strong storytelling abilities are required to present subjects in engaging and compelling ways.
Candidates must be highly digitally literate and capable of writing with SEO optimisation in mind.
Core Responsibilities
- Writing both short- and long-form articles.
- Adapting and repurposing existing content across multiple platforms.
- Mastering and maintaining a variety of brand voices.
- Collaborating closely with team members and clients to develop strong concepts from initial briefing through to execution.
- Setting tone and driving creativity, working alongside the Account Director and Data Strategists to uphold creative excellence.
- Staying highly attuned to relevant trends and news to identify timely content opportunities.
- Coordinating with internal teams to gather input and validate content accuracy.
- Ensuring consistency and high quality across all written materials.
- Presenting and effectively articulating concepts to clients.
Skills & Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in an advertising agency or consultancy.
- Strong experience writing for digital and social media, with a solid understanding of SEO.
- Background in corporate communications or journalism preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of evolving social media and digital best practices.
- Understanding of the language and requirements specific to [INSERT INDUSTRY HERE] brands.
- Experience publishing content on social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube) and content management systems (WordPress, HubSpot, Drupal, etc.).
- Strong awareness of how content can be adapted across multiple mediums.
- Ability to use data and insights to inform creative ideas.
- Natural flair for words, curiosity, creativity, and ambition.
- Capability to think conceptually and work within a traditional creative team (designer and copywriter).
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex material into engaging, audience-resonating stories and content.
- Confident in presenting and communicating ideas clearly to team members and clients.
Location & Duration
