Job Overview
Teach English online to adult learners worldwide from the comfort of your home anywhere in South Africa. EF offers flexible scheduling for group and private lessons, full training on its easy-to-use online platform, and ready-made lesson materials to minimise prep time. Lessons run 24/7, with peak hours in the afternoon, making this role ideal for those balancing work, family, or studies.
Core Responsibilities
- Deliver 40- to 45-minute interactive online lessons, both group and private, for adult learners.
- Prepare and submit after-class reports for each student, highlighting progress and offering recommendations for continued improvement.
- Stay informed on updates and enhancements to the teaching platform and online classroom tools.
- Independently manage and maintain a personal teaching schedule.
Skills & Requirements
- Must be a resident of South Africa with a valid South African identity document.
- Fluent English speaker at C2 level with a neutral accent.
- Hold a completed Bachelor’s degree.
- Possess a 120-hour TEFL teaching certificate.
- Strong computer literacy and comfortable using digital platforms.
- Professional, energetic, and passionate about working with people.
- Previous teaching experience is advantageous but not mandatory; relevant work experience is also considered.
