Job Overview
The client is seeking an Email Marketing Strategist to take ownership of the development and optimisation of email and SMS nurture sequences for appointment-based campaigns, webinars, and live events. The successful candidate will oversee key attendance KPIs, identify conversion bottlenecks, and lead cross-departmental testing initiatives aimed at improving overall show rate performance.
Operating at the intersection of data and strategy, the role involves close collaboration with DevOps, CRO, and Account Management teams to ensure client campaigns consistently meet or exceed established show rate benchmarks. This results-driven position requires a strategic mindset, strong analytical capability, persuasive copywriting expertise, and a continuous improvement approach.
Core Responsibilities
- Own Show Rate Performance: Take full accountability for diagnosing declines, driving improvements, and ensuring show rate KPIs consistently meet or exceed targets.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis: Run standardized diagnostics to identify performance risks related to messaging, user experience, technology, audience segments, or traffic quality.
- Segment & Source Analysis: Examine show rates across different segments and traffic sources, flag low-quality cohorts to Media Buying teams, and provide actionable insights to enhance traffic quality.
- Manage & Optimise Reminder Sequences: Develop, test, and refine SMS, email, direct mail, and voicemail campaigns; leverage proven tactics such as personalised scripts and direct mail strategies.
- Design & Execute A/B Tests: Implement structured tests with clear hypotheses, tracking protocols, and documented scaling plans for successful variations.
- Reporting & Alignment: Deliver weekly Show Rate Briefs and lead Show Rate War Rooms to ensure accountability and cross-functional collaboration.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Provide actionable insights to Media Buying, CRO, and Creative teams; escalate risks promptly and contribute to funnel optimisation initiatives.
- Develop Show Rate Strategy: Maintain and update a repository of proven tactics, best-practice templates, and benchmarks to drive continuous improvement.
- Client-Facing Communication: Translate diagnostic findings into clear, client-ready reports, explaining performance trends and recommended actions confidently.
- Support Automation & Insights: Assist in developing dashboards, reporting systems, and early-warning indicators to monitor attendance trends and enable proactive optimisation.
Skills & Requirements
- Analytical & Diagnostic Expertise: Strong ability to interpret KPIs, leverage dashboards, and identify root causes of performance issues.
- Relevant Marketing Experience: Demonstrated experience in marketing operations, conversion rate optimisation (CRO), client strategy, call centre operations, or performance marketing, preferably 2+ years.
- Accountability & Ownership: Takes full responsibility for outcomes, not just tasks.
- Multi-Account Management: Capable of maintaining focus across multiple accounts through prioritisation frameworks and structured workflows.
