The position combines responsibilities across email coordination, community engagement, and administrative support, making it well-suited for an individual who is highly organised, marketing-aware, and comfortable operating in a behind-the-scenes capacity
Core Responsibilities
The Email Marketing Assistant will support the execution and coordination of email marketing initiatives by assisting with the setup and scheduling of campaigns using platforms such as Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or similar tools. They will be responsible for organizing campaign assets, managing contact lists, and updating audience segments to ensure accurate targeting.
The role includes tracking campaign performance metrics and compiling clear, concise reports for internal stakeholders. Additionally, the assistant will maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), campaign checklists, and shared documentation to support efficient workflows.
They will also contribute to analysing return trends by reviewing return portal data and organising insights for the team. Community engagement forms part of the role, with responsibilities including responding to direct messages, ad comments, and customer interactions across platforms.
The assistant will collaborate closely with account managers to support marketing updates and handle ad hoc administrative tasks, while also conducting research on competitor campaigns and industry trends as required.
Skills & Requirements
- Candidates are expected to have at least one year of experience in email marketing, digital coordination, or administrative support
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets is required, along with strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with data
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms and project management tools such as Asana or ClickUp is preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
- The ability to manage changing priorities in a calm, organised, and structured manner is important
- Additional experience in SEO, PPC, or content writing will be considered an advantage
Technical Requirements
- Access to a laptop or desktop with at least an i5 processor (or Mac equivalent)
- A reliable internet connection with a minimum of 15 Mbps download and upload speed
